I love pizza, especially homemade pizza! So when I found this recipe for Tostada Pizza, with just a little bit of a mexican flair, it quickly became a family favorite!
1 pound of hamburger
1 thin-crust Pillsbury pizza dough
1 tablespoon corn meal
1 cup cheese
1 cup lettuce
1 cup tomatoes, diced
1/2 cup green onions
1 can diced green chiles
1/2 packet taco seasoning
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 can pinto beans, mashed (w/jalapenos for extra zing!)
Add one tablespoon corn meal to cookie sheet. Unroll pizza dough and bake at 350 for 5 minutes.
Mash pinto beans and spread on partially-cooked dough.
Add hamburger mixture. Bake in oven 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Add cheese and cook for 5 more minutes or until cheese is melted.
Cut into small squares and enjoy! Your family will love this!
If you want to dial down the spice, omit jalapenos and reduce the chili powder.
